Active Planet topic

This term Years 3 are starting a topic called "Active Planet". They will be learning about our planet and at the moment they are studying disasters. They will learn about where and why these happen aswell as the effects they have on the planet and people living in certain areas.

They started their topic with a fabulous wow day and turned the school hall into an Emergency Relief Centre. Here the children learned about how supplies are worked out and delivered to the area, how to be a reporter in the area and also how to administer first aid to the casualties. Finally they attended a research centre where they actually followed a live feed and saw an earthquake happening.
