Pastoral Care
It is important that our children feel secure and happy at Park School. We are in the privileged position of being one of a small minority of schools in the locality that offer a pastoral care department. Our children understand that they can approach any member of the staff team to discuss issues that trouble them, and that these will be handled swiftly and sensitively.
We also actively promote in our children the ambition to become responsible members of the school community, through opportunities like ‘friendship’ leaders and school council representatives.
Ofsted (2007) have graded the school’s ability in supporting children’s social and emotional development as ‘good.’ However, the school is committed to pursue excellence and is confident in this aim.
